Squaw Butte Trail & Project Safety

Rides and project are open to active BCHI members.

A number of Public events are planned each year, Invite a friend.

Member and stock safety takes priority in everything the chapter does.

First aid kits and emergency contact devices will be carried on all projects & rides.

Carry a personal medical info form in your saddle bags.

Carry any special medications in your saddle bags.

Dogs are welcome in camp, but not on work projects & trail rides.

Stock must be under control at all times.

If your horse or mules kicks, ribbon on their tail.

A pre-event safety meeting will be held.

Members must have Sawyer training to use power saws on chapter projects.

Required safety gear will be worn when running saws.

No alcoholic beverage until after the work is done.

Tamarack Ski Day Trip - Sunday Jan 7, 2018

Come spend a day at what feels like an exclusive private ski area, very small crowds, fun runs and generally excellent snow.  There is something here for every level of skier and Nordic & snow shoeing too.
The plan is to car pool from the parking lot north of the Horseshoe Bend post office.  We will be meeting their at 08:30.  If you don't have gear, you can rent it at the resort.

Directions: This is a great ride between the cliffs and the river. Safe ground even if it has snow on it, which is rare. Good parking and bathroom facilities open year round.  Pictures from past event.

Potluck  (RAIN or SHINE) will be held  at Rob & Linda Adams Home, Sweet, ID 13:00 to 16:00

Potluck 13:00 - 16:00, you don't have to ride to attend the pot luck.  Food will be served at 14:30.
Bring a dish to share, and a chair to sit in.
